Amadea Resort & Villas, Seminyak, celebrated its first anniversary on 1st June 2012. Part of the Prime Plaza Hotels & Resorts, the resort has enjoyed a busy first year of operation. It has proved to be a popular choice of accommodation for guests from around the world, and is already the recipient of TripAdvisor’s prestigious ‘Certificate of Excellence 2012’ award.

With 86 Superior and Deluxe Rooms, seven suites including two Rooftop Suites, and seven Pool Villas of two and four bedrooms, the resort is designed to cater for domestic and international leisure travelers by offering luxurious accommodation at affordable prices. It is complemented by two lap pools, a spa and a restaurant, and is perfect for those who want to be in the heart of the action as it is within walking distance of a vast array of designer boutiques, fine dining restaurants, day spas, beach bars and vibrant nightspots.

General Manager, Mr Wayan Warta, is delighted with the first year’s performance. He said, “We would like to thank our guests for giving us the opportunity to be at their service during our first year. We receive a lot of feedback, which we take very seriously, reacting to it from a positive standpoint; this attitude has rewarded us with customer loyalty and return bookings. We also strongly believe that our staff are our main asset. We get many comments from our guests regarding the exceptional service that they have received from our happy, smiling team. We are very excited with the result and will continue our effort to offer prime quality of service to all our guest in the coming future”.

The convenient location of Amadea Resort & Villas is also a major draw. Mr Frans Bonang, President Director of Prime Plaza Hotels & Resorts, said, “We are very proud to be part of the Seminyak ‘Eat Street’ community. We note that more hotels will open in this area this year. On one side this will mean more competition, but on the other side we also believe that it will bring greater opportunity. We really look forward to working hand in hand with our fellow hotels to make our neighbourhood an even better place.”

In the spirit of giving back to the local community, the resort has launched ‘Amadea Cares’, a Corporate Social Responsibility programme that strives to make a difference to the lives of those in need. Funding comes from the resort’s CSR budget and staff members who contribute directly from their salaries. Additionally, each in-house guest is invited to participate by donating just Rp 5,000 during their stay, which is less than the price of a single drink. The first charity organisation to benefit from Amadea Cares is ‘Yayasan Senyum Bali’ also known as the ‘Bali Smile Foundation’ (www.senyumbali.org), an independent foundation that brings essential healthcare to local people with severe craniofacial disabilities.
